Threadlifting is a new aesthetic method for compacting, strengthening and lifting tissues that have lost their elasticity, using sterile bioresorbable mesothreads. Their placement aims at complete or partial lifting and three-dimensional modeling of the face and body.

Mesothreads are made of completely biodegradable, biocompatible, inert and sterile material. In most cases, this is the substance polydioxanone. In the next 180–240 days after application, it is completely broken down to water and carbon dioxide, being eliminated from the skin through natural tissue metabolism. At the same time, the controlled and gradual degradation activates neocollagenesis, a process leading to the formation of new and healthy collagen fibers.
